As a plan sponsor of a retirement plan with National Benefit Services, you have joined us in our vision of increasing peace of mind for every man and woman through financial security. You can increase the benefit your employees will receive from your retirement plan by encouraging them to participate or increase their participation in the employee deferral option of your plan. Increasing participation will also help plans that are subject to the ADP/ACP and Top Heavy tests to more easily pass. Below are some ideas and resources that may entice your employees to set aside more for their retirement:

  • Provide or increase your matching contribution
  • Set up an automatic enrollment and/or automatic deferral escalation component to your plan
  • When issuing raises, suggest that a portion of the increased income be used towards retirement deferrals
  • Hold plan enrollment meetings with your plan advisor annually and/or prior to your plan entry dates
  • Provide information to the employees about the Savers Tax Credit
  • Many of our vendors provide promotional and educational material that encourages enrollment in your plan and build awareness about your retirement plan including:
